HELLO MY LITTLE WILDFLOWERS!

Welcome to my very first FASH MAG! I am excited to finally be launching this on my website, which has totally been revamped as a whole. FASH MAG is just my little form of motivation and inspiration of the month. I am thrilled at the idea of sharing with all of you my personal favourite tips, ads, articles and designer pieces from various fashion magazines.

Having just arrive to Australia (if you count 8 weeks ago “just”) I haven’t had the chance to read up on many of my go-to magazines, but for my first post I will be sharing with you all my favourite things from ELLE AUSTRALIA!

BIKEPIECES & ADS

I) Chanel: this is probably by far one of my most favourite fashion ad pieces that has ever been created. I love everything that there is to love about it – it’s simple, it’s seductive, it’s mysterious, it’s ______________ ! (fill in the blank). Bottom line is, if I could tear this piece out as whole and tape it together without it looking like a total mess for framing than I would.

II) This month ELLE channeled the downtown 70s vibe in one of their pieces with the help of photographer Christopher Ferguson and stylist Rachel Wayman. For those who don’t know me, I have a slight obsession with the 60s-70s era, especially when it comes to fashion. So you can probably imagine why this joins the list for this months FASH MAG. Bring on the skinny knits, wide pants and Sunday shades – I want it all!

III) Prada: sometimes there are just things that we absolutely love and take an interest towards without needing an explanation. This ad is one of them. I just love it. The end.

ARTICLES

2I could probably write an entire novel on why I love this piece so much. Definitely one of the most inspirational, satisfying and calming pieces I have ever read. I would highly recommend all to read it, regardless of your views on such matters. ELLE journalist Kenya Hunt shares three readers personal experiences on depression and anxiety, experiences everyone can relate to in one way or another. As for me? Well lets just say I won’t be sharing my personal experience with you (yet), but I will say that I felt very connected to these women and finally understood that I wasn’t alone. I learned that there is always a bright side to things, we’ve just got to go in search for it and if we fail, we won’t drown. We keep learning and trudging forward until we successfully find that bright side.

3I) viva FOREVER: such an amusing yet interesting read. ELLE journalist, Laura Collins, reflects on the SPICE GIRLS and the impressions they have left on her wardrobe. She has taken a little piece of all and channels them in typical everyday situations.

“I TAKE THE WARDROBE OF POSH AND THE ATTITUDE OF SCARY INTO A JOB INTERVIEW. BABY AND GINGER ARE FRONT OF MIND WHEN I’M DRESSING FOR A DATE. SPORTY SPICE’S ABS (AND POSH’S ABILITY TO PULL OFF A MINI) KEEP ME MOTIVATED AT THE GYM”

II) hello… it’s me: ELLE journalist, Heather Havrilesky, discusses how we as a society are always finding the need to answer every text instantaneously and if our companions don’t do the same we lose it. So so so so true. Such an amazing and eye opener read.

III) Monster Mash-Up: I just really want that jacket. How rad is it?

OTHER RANDOM FAVS

Final Thought: wishing I had $15,940 to buy such a beautiful, classic and timeless Chanel piece (above)…..#dreamer
