Today I thought I’d start sharing some of my favourite fashion pieces from Instagram bloggers, street styles and fashion week runway collections, and where to find them on the cheap (aka Zara).
Let’s face it, with todays fast evolving fashion trends it is hard to keep up with them on the cheap. I am forever obsessing over the latest blogging trends and trying to find old pieces hanging in my closet to recreate these styles. With your affordable shops now, such as H&M, Zara and ASOS it is easy to recreate these trends. For me however, my poison will forever be Zara and for many reasons;
- Affordable (duh!)
- Styles are forever chic, classic, and timeless (if styled properly)
- Pieces that suit everyones personal style
- Consistently introducing new and variety of styles
- Good quality and will last for years (if taken care properly)
I know many of you will dispute on my last point, but I’ve never had a problem with their pieces so I’m sticking to it. I’ve never been one for H&M, but once in a blue moon if I find myself to stumble in there I will find a classic piece on the cheap and take it home with me. Those pieces will never last me though and I find myself tossing them after one season. With my current lifestyle I need affordable pieces, I wish I could invest the money into all, but sadly I can’t. This is what it’s like to live your twenties, forever fashionable and poor.
To kick start into fall I thought I would share one of my favourite Instagram posts from Free People – again, if their pieces were not pricey (to some they might not be) than I wouldn’t be here suggesting more affordable outlets. This particular post I was drawn to because I loved how effortless and chic the look was. I find September to be that ideal month where we can slowly weed out our summer floral prints, but are still acceptable to wear before winter hits us. Also not to mention ideal to wear those light trousers that would have us freezing in the next upcoming months.
Top Tip: Have one piece be a statement – floral bottoms with a solid colour knit or vice versa with a pair of bold and sophisticated sneak
